Being a woman, this has been a heated debate for me. I have had many people of both genders "rebuke" me for my activities as a minister in the past, some even going so far as calling me a "Jezebel" for doing so, but I can assure you that out of all of the negative feedback, I have received over the years, it is not a sin against YHVH for any woman to answer her YHVH-given calling, as a functioning member of the Bride.

It is important to remember that believing women are not given a different truth than believing men! We all have the same truth and we all follow the same commandments!

Let's cover some questions that some of you may have and dispel some misconceptions..

Only man is created in YHVH's image

Genesis 1:27;31
So YHVH created man [mankind] in his own image, in the image of YHVH created he him; MALE AND FEMALE created he them.
31 YHVH saw all that he had made, and it was very good (righteous). And there was evening, and there was morning-the sixth day.

Both the righteous male and the righteous female are created in YHVH's image and are called Children of the Most High or elohim. (See: God or Elohim)

Only men were permitted to be priests, which is the same function as a minister

Numbers 6:2
Speak unto the children of Israel, and say unto them, When either MAN OR WOMAN, shall separate themselves to vow a vow of a Nazarite, to separate themselves unto YHVH:

The difference between the Levitical and Nazarite Priesthoods:

In order to be a Levitical priest one would have to have been born of the 'Tribe of Levi.' Those who were born into the 'Tribe of Levi' were "Set Apart" by physical birth for the express purpose of serving as sacramental priests or priestesses. However, if you were not born of the 'Tribe of Levi' you could still become a priest by taking the VOW of the Nazarite priesthood. There is a significant distinction to be made here; the Levites had no choice in the matter, BUT the Nazarites CHOSE to become priests. Because of this distinction, the Nazarites were especially favored (given Grace) by YHVH. They were considered by YHVH to be Holy and more pure than the driven snow. (See The Nazarite Priesthood)

Only a male could serve as High Priest, however, this is a parallel - not of gender, but of authority.

If YHVH made provisions for females to be priests, who is anyone to say otherwise?

The whole nation of Israel (both genders) was told they would be a nation of priests.

Only men were given authority to prophesy and judge

Exodus 15:20

And Miriam the prophetess, the sister of Aaron, took a timbrel in her hand; and all the women went out after her with timbrels and with dances.

Now, it says in the verse above that Miriam was a prophetess, but she was also a Levite, and since when do Levites need prophets or prophetesses? It is more than likely that Miriam was a Levitical priestess. In fact, the definition of angel (Ma'lak: H4397) is: one sent; a messenger; specifically, of YHVH, an angel (also a prophet, priest or teacher). Therefore, since Ma'lak is defined as minister, prophet or priest, and is the same thing as an angel, then all words have been defined as variants of the same meaning, but have slightly different duties or functions.

Miriam still served a function as ritualistic priestess (as a musician), and was equated an angel (the same as any priest). Additionally, this will solidify the usage of the words prophetess and priestess used in the remainder of this article.

2 Kings 22:14
So Hilkiah the priest, and Ahikam, and Achbor, and Shaphan, and Asahiah, went unto Huldah the prophetess, the wife of Shallum the son of Tikvah, the son of Harhas, keeper of the wardrobe; (now she dwelt in Jerusalem in the college;) and they communed with her.

Judges 4:4
And Deborah, a prophetess, the wife of Lapidoth, she judged Israel at that time.

Isaiah 8:3
And I (Isaiah) went unto the prophetess; and she conceived, and bare a son. Then said YHVH to me, Call his name Mahershalalhashbaz.

Luke 2:36
And there was one Anna, a prophetess, the daughter of Phanuel, of the tribe of Aser: she was of a great age , and had lived with an husband seven years from her virginity;

Feminine form of H5030
spokesman, speaker, prophet
false prophet
heathen prophet

Jezebel, on the other hand, was a priestess to Baal.

1 Kings 16:31
And it came to pass, as if it had been a light thing for him to walk in the sins of Jeroboam the son of Nebat, that he took to wife Jezebel the daughter of Ethbaal king of the Zidonians, and went and served Baal, and worshipped him.

Revelation 2:20-23
Notwithstanding I have a few things against thee, because thou sufferest that woman Jezebel, which calleth herself a prophetess, to teach and to seduce my servants to commit fornication, and to eat things sacrificed unto idols. And I gave her space to repent of her fornication; and she repented not. Behold, I will cast her into a bed, and them that commit adultery with her into great tribulation, except they repent of their deeds. And I will kill her children with death; and all the churches shall know that I am he which searcheth the reins and hearts: and I will give unto every one of you according to your works.

The Jezebel Spirit is that of the Great Whore.

Noaidiah was also a false prophetess.

Nehemiah 6:14
My YHVH, think thou upon Tobiah and Sanballat according to these their works, and on the prophetess Noadiah, and the rest of the prophets, that would have put me in fear.

Only men were Apostles

Now, this is one point I love to get into. In order for us to "see" that there was, indeed, female apostles, we need to compare sources.

It is a well-known fact that the canon is biased, and certain books were omitted from the canon because they clearly showed a discrepancy between what the Roman Catholic Church WANTS you to believe and what is actually the truth. This a very common tactic in the art of deception (only show what you want to be seen, and hide the rest or call it heretical).

So, here, we need to scrutinize the Apocrypha.

The Apostle Mary
In a manner very similar to John 19:25-26, the Gospel of Philip presents Mary Magdalene among Yahshua's female entourage, adding that she was his koinônos, a Greek word variously translated in contemporary versions as partner, associate, comrade, companion (and also is the same root word as Koinonia, or communion). The word Koinonia also implies a certain closeness between Yahshua and Mary that is far more intimate than any physical marriage or relationship. It is one of likemindness; quite unique among two people (but not unique among the righteous). The definition itself carries with it the fact that Mary was, indeed, one of Yahshua's apostles.

From the Gospel of Philip:
"There were three who always walked with Yahshua: Mary, his mother, and her sister, and Magdalene, the one who was called his companion. His sister, his mother and his companion were each a Mary."

"And the companion of Yahshua was Mary Magdalene. Yahshua loved Mary more than all (of the other) disciples, and used to kiss her often on her mouth. The rest of the disciples were offended by it and expressed disapproval. They said to him, "Why do you love her more than all of us?" Yahshua answered and said to them, "Why do I not love you like her?"

I do believe the church hid this because, in their minds it implies a sexual relationship between Yahshua and Mary Magdalene. However, I do not think that is what the text means here. After all, if Mary was Yahshua's wife, why would the other disciples be upset about him kissing her in front of them?

In fact, we are instructed by Paul to greet our brethren with a Holy Kiss.

1 Corinthians 16:20
All the brethren greet you. Greet ye one another with an holy kiss.

Holy kisses are not given on the mouth, but likely on the forehead as a symbol of the Mark of YHVH (the Shema).

From the Gospel of Thomas:
Simon Peter said to them: Let Mary go forth from among us, for women are not worthy of the life. Yahshua said: Behold, I shall lead her, that I may make her male (in authority), in order that she also may become a living spirit like you males. For every woman who makes herself male (in authority) shall enter into the kingdom of heaven.

From the Pistis Sophia:
"Mary, thou blessed one, whom I will perfect in all mysteries of those of the height, discourse in openness, thou, whose heart is raised to the kingdom of heaven more than all thy brethren."

From the Gospel of Mary:
"But if Messiah Yahshua made her (Mary) worthy, who are you to reject her? Surely Messiah Yahshua knew her very well. For this reason he loved her more than us."

The Talpiot Tomb
Inside of the Yahshua Family Tomb, we find an ossuary called “Mariamene e Mara” OR “Mariamne, also called Master”. This ossuary cannot belong to Mary of Bethany, because her ossuary was found in a tomb in Bethany with her sister Martha. This Mary (or Mariamne) is Mary Magdalene, who was given the title of "Master". If we look at her role in the New Testament, we see that she was a witness to the crucifixion of Yahshua, and was one of the first to arrive at the tomb after Yahshua had left. She, and her companions, were told to go announce that news to the other apostles.

The Thirteen Tribes
With the addition of Mary, the number of apostles equals the number 13, and this is far more correct than saying there should have been 12 to represent the Tribes of Israel. Why? Let us not forget that the Tribe of Joseph was split into Manessah and Ephriam, those are called "half tribes", but they still need a representative, do they not?

The Disciple Tabitha
Very little is known about this particular disciple. The only citation I could find is from Acts 9.

Acts 9:36-42
Now there was at Joppa a certain disciple named Tabitha, which by interpretation is called Dorcas: this woman was full of good works and almsdeeds which she did. And it came to pass in those days, that she was sick, and died: whom when they had washed, they laid her in an upper chamber. And forasmuch as Lydda was nigh to Joppa, and the disciples had heard that Peter was there, they sent unto him two men, desiring him that he would not delay to come to them. Then Peter arose and went with them. When he was come, they brought him into the upper chamber: and all the widows stood by him weeping, and shewing the coats and garments which Dorcas made, while she was with them. But Peter put them all forth, and kneeled down, and prayed ; and turning him to the body said, Tabitha, arise. And she opened her eyes: and when she saw Peter, she sat up. And he gave her his hand, and lifted her up, and when he had called the saints and widows, presented her alive. And it was known throughout all Joppa; and many believed in YHVH.

Paul said women were to remain silent in assembly (1 Corinthians 14:34)

We DO have different roles in physical Assembly. Assembly (an Appointed Holy Convocation) is not like in the Christian churches - we do no preaching from a pulpit! However, during physical (not cyber/Internet) Assembly, if there is a discussion or a Spirit-led prayer, a male should perform this duty if there is one to do so. Shepherds and sheep are separate, as the shepherds (male and female) have shown themselves approved and sheep (male and female) are there to learn and also grow to become approved! (See The Apostle Paul)

Let's allow the parallels to explain this. One of the very first Commandments given to mankind (Adam and Eve) was "Be Fruitful And Multiply, and Replenish The Earth" (Genesis 1:28).

Now, those of you with "Ears to Hear and Eyes to See" what is the Spiritual interpretation of this verse? Here are two hints:
Luke 8:5-9
A sower went out to sow his seed: and as he sowed, some fell by the way side; and it was trodden down, and the fowls of the air devoured it. And some fell upon a rock; and as soon as it was sprung up, it withered away, because it lacked moisture. And some fell among thorns; and the thorns sprang up with it, and choked it. And other fell on good ground, and sprang up, and bare fruit an hundredfold. And when he had said these things, he cried, He that hath ears to hear, let him hear. And his disciples asked him, saying, What might this parable (Parallel) be?

2 Corinthians 9:10-15
Now he that ministereth seed (Physical Angel or Minister of YHVH) to the sower both minister (Spiritual) bread for (your - men & women) (Spiritual) food, and multiply your (Spiritual) seed sown, and increase the (Spiritual Talents) Fruits of (your righteousness;) Being enriched in every thing to all bountifulness, which causeth through us thanksgiving to YHVH. For the administration of this service (Ministry) not only supplieth the wants (needs) of The Saints (True Assembly), but is abundant also by many thanksgivings unto YHVH; Whiles by the experiment (Trial or Proof) of this administration they glorify YHVH for your professed subjection unto the gospel of The Anointed One, and for (your) liberal distribution unto them, and unto all (men); And by their prayer for you, which long after you for the exceeding grace of YHVH in you. Thanks (be) unto YHVH for his unspeakable gift.

So, do women have a different path into The Coming Kingdom of YHVH on Earth? NO! But there is order to YHVH's Method, and women are, also, commanded to be under The Same obedience (love) as men. Not just Torah, but The Very First Commandment ever given, "Be Fruitful and Multiply" in which women bear the greatest burden (physically speaking). Women physically symbolize The Fertile Soil in which the seed is nourished and tended.

Has the reason for (1 Corinthians 14:34), "Let your women keep silence in the Assembly", been made evident yet?

The simple answer is: to maintain the physical to spiritual order of the administration of Spiritual seed. Speaking and teaching truth is simply not enough!

Men symbolically represent "the Spiritual sower", and women symbolically represent "The Holy Spirit" (which is feminine in Hebrew). And since it is The Holy Spirit that "Nourishes and Tends" the garden (so to speak), then that is their role in the Assembly, but we all are still required outside of assembly to not hide our talents (Spiritual Gifts) that we each must bear!

The Holy Spirit: (Two Word Combination of Holy & Spirit; Not a name!)
Psalm 51:11
Cast me not away from thy presence; and take not thy Holy (H6944 - Righteousness Seeking) Spirit (H7307 - [Ruach] ) from me.

Prophecies Concerning Women

Acts 2:17-18
And it shall come to pass in the last days, saith YHVH, I will pour out of my Spirit upon all flesh; and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy. and your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams: And on my servants and on my handmaidens I will pour out in those days of my Spirit and they shall prophesy.

How can women prophecy if Christians, or any other group/religion, won't let them? Prophets prophecy, not just any ordinary person does or can. So, how can this prophecy NOT be true in the latter days if prophetesses or priestesses are not allowed by their leaders to prophecy? Therefore, there are prophetesses even today! A prophet or prophetess doesn't necessarily predict the future. Messiah was a prophet, but he did many other things aside from telling the future.

The Holy Spirit

1 Corinthians 1:24-31
But unto them which are called, both Jews and Greeks (males and females, bond and free), by the Holy Spirit (which is) the power of YHVH, and the wisdom of YHVH. Because the foolishness of YHVH is wiser than men; and the weakness of YHVH is stronger than men. For ye see your calling, brethren (brothers and sisters), how that not many wise men after the flesh, not many mighty, not many noble, are called: But YHVH hath chosen the foolish things of the world to confound the wise; and YHVH hath chosen the weak things of the world to confound the things which are mighty; And base things of the world, and things which are despised, hath YHVH chosen, yea, and things which are not, to bring to nought things that are: That no flesh should glory in his presence. But of him are ye in Messiah Yahshua, who of YHVH is made unto us (as a perfected example of) wisdom, and righteousness, and sanctification, and redemption: That, according as it is written, he that glorieth, let him glory in YHVH.

We are told through the parable of the talents to NOT bury our talents. ((Matthew 25)

We are told to not hide our light (righteousness). (Luke 11:33)

Women have the same requirements as men - that is to SEEK THE RIGHTEOUSNESS OF YHVH.

Therefore, no one will reject you within these walls for Shining Your Light!

Ephesians 1:4-7
I therefore, a servant of YHVH, beseech you that ye walk worthy of the vocation wherewith ye are called, With all lowliness and meekness, with longsuffering, forbearing one another in love; Endeavouring to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace. There is one body, and one Spirit, even as ye are called in one hope of your calling; One YHVH, one faith, one Spirit of Cleansing, One God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all. But unto every one of us is given grace according to the (same) measure of the gift (that was also given to) Messiah.
